Description:
In the modified Mannich reaction 2-naphthol and its derivatives as electron rich aromatic compounds reacts with the Schiff-base in situ formed from the corresponding amine and aldehyde. The synthetic potential in this research filed is the modification of the cyclic imines together with the alteration of the electron rich aromatic compounds.

Synthesis of enantiopure indole derivatives

Description:
Our previous researches pointed out that the C-3 substitution of indole with cyclic imines can be achieved by using mild experimental conditions. Only few examples exist in the literature where the aminoalkylation of indole via three component reaction lead to the desired indole derivatives. Our aim is to extend this reaction starting from non-racemic amines and to isolate enantiopure C-3 substituted indoles.
