Dear Colleagues, Friends,

It is my sad and shocking duty to inform his acquaintances and friends that, after a serious illness borne with patience and dignity, Professor Gabor Bernath has passed away on 1st October 2009.
In his person, the society of organic chemists has lost one of its outstanding characters. He was a true school founder.
Both the University of Szeged and the Faculty of Pharmacy consider the death of Professor Bernath to be an enormous loss.
All his colleagues will cherish his memory.
